Well, yeah! I mean, there are things that don't completely... like, who comes and goes, for instance. But taking people to and from a world really isn't natural. It has to throw off the order of nature, and erm... well, I think maybe one way they keep it balanced is by how many people come and go. If they want to bring new people, they have to take others away first.

No... you're right, it doesn't. There's probably a lot more to it than just that. It's... um, only really a theory anyway!

It just feels like the scientists do it to mess with people.
