Of snow and musea
Last Sunday was the monthly Belgian Cupcakes meet in Hasselt. Originally the plan was to go ice skating, but the rink was closed to visitors due to an event. So we decided to go out for a meal and a visit to Z33 and it's current exhibit SuperBodies instead.
First we gathered at the train station at noon, I was the first there, which doesn't often happen. According to the billboards it is forever Halloween there, I do approve.
When the rest arrived we exchanged our Lolita Valentine's cards. The idea was that all participants would make a V-day card for everyone else that participated, writing something nice on the card for everyone. A positive personal message to spread more positivity through our community. Not that it's not a positive and nice bunch, but you know, never too much positivity!
After that we went to the Orangerie, only to discover it had become rather a lot more expensive since the last time Saltje and I had been there, so we decided to just have a drink and find somewhere else for a meal. We also profited of the lovely set up just outside to make some outfit photos, even though we were freezing to death.
We wandered around for a bit to eventually settle in a nice looking café/brasserie to have lunch. We were well pleased with our choice :)
I had a cheeseburger and fries, because I always find it hard to resist cheeseburgers and fries. I know I shouldn't what with my heart and all but they're sooooooooooooooo good. Besides I hardly ever eat burgers so the occassional one won't kill me :)
Tummies being filled it was exhibit time and lo and behold the exihibit was made of WIN AND AWESOME! I totally want to go back. And oh I will go back, rest assured. I must go back, because I want to get pictures taken there for a college project :)
