*taps fingers impatiently*

Today I was going to finish knitting my green scarf. So when I took it out the project bag and tried it on for lenght and it turned out to be long enough I cast it off. So far for knitting. Out of sheer boredom I knitted a BJD (ball jointed doll) cowl too out of the same yarn, I may take pictures later when Brick's batteries finish charging.

The mail lady continues to be a thorn in the collective sides of everyone that has the misfortune to live on her rounds.
See, our previous mail man was friendly and delivered in a timely manner.
This lady seems ok behaviour wise (I've spoken to her the grand total of once for about one minute so I'm not forming an opinion just yet) but she can't actually be bothered to deliver ANYTHING in a timely manner.
This pisses me off.
I order things for school and projects off the internet and I don't like having to wait longer because she can't be arsed to do her work in a timely manner.

On Monday as far as this household is aware, no one on our street got any mail because there was snow on the road. The bigger snow free roads got their mail late in the afternoon (I'm sure the two companies [one is a big farming company, the other one does glazing for windows and what not] in this street were thrilled to hear about THAT if it's true).
If this is actually true then I can see the complaints hanging.
Yesterday the mail came around 4.30 pm.
Today the only thing that arrived in a timely manner was my American Apparel order (winter leggings and thigh socks) because they were delivered by the nice UPS guy (who I think is a bit scared of Merlijn because Merlijn keeps glaring at him like he's about to murder him by tearing his throat out with his claws and teeth [knowing Merlijn this is probably exactly what he was planning]).

I can't wait for the post to get proper competition of private firms. First of all because I think it'll significantly lower the shipping costs (at least I hope so, because they are fucking RI-DI-CU-LOUS) and secondly because it'll force the post office to actually deliver things in a timely matter. If they won't, then people will go to the competition with better service (and hopefully it will have better service so there is an actual alternative).

And yes, this rant is entirely pointless but typing it up at least chased away my boredom for a couple of minutes :D
Hopefully I'll get some supplies in the mail so I have some things to do tomorrow, that'd be ace :)
