Rainy day at Disneyland Paris - part 2 (@DisneylandParis #Disney #travel #tripreport #ootd)

Part 2 of our rainy day in Disneyland Paris!

As you can read in part 1, after having done and seen everything we wanted in the Disneyland Park, we moved over to the Studios :)
What I really wanted to do that day was ride Ratatouille and see Cinémagique :)

We were a little early, so first we took some photos and spent some time in Studio 1 because it’s enclosed and thus dryer and warmer than outside.

When we got to Cinemagique the doors were already open and it was about 10 minutes before the start of the show. Bert had never seen it before and I had had only seen it once back in 2010. We were glad to be out of the bad weather, and I found my knitted gloves for Bert to wear so he could at least get slightly warmer hands.

Ratatouille was our stop after Cinemagique, and contrary to the CRAZY queue of September last year, this was barely a queue! 30 minutes regular and 15 minutes with fastpass and disability pass.

It had come to a reluctant cease rain after we got out of Cinemagique, but when we came out of Ratatouille it had stopped raining altogether. So I swapped my cameras around to FINALLY be able to shoot with my DSLR.

We explored around the Studios for a bit, wandering around Toon Studio.

And Toy Story Playland

My outfit of the day:
Hat: Star Wars imperial command hat (Disney Store US)
Glasses: Theo
Shawl: made it myself
Jacket: H&M
Mittens: H&M
Bag: vintage
Camera bag: National Geographic
Skirt: made it myself
Petticoat: Dear Celine
Tights: Teja Jamilla
Spats: my own design, made them myself
Boots: Kickers
Umbrella: Angelic Pretty

checked the Tower of Terror

gift shop, Tower Hotel Gifts, which is one of our favourites

and went in Ratatouille for a second time.

And that was it for the Walt Disney Studios Park this time!

Because all my photos of the Disneyland Park were full of mange weather, I suggested we go back there, so I could take some nicer Swing into Spring ones for BCM. And some analog ones too :)

We were still pretty cold (Bert more than me) at that point, but at least the sunshine was very nice :)

I have to say, it does annoy me that even though Swing into Spring had already started, not everything was present. Half the decor of the gazebo wasn’t there, neither was Goofy’s Garden Party. If the cavalcade had been cancelled due to the weather, I’d have been 100% fine with that because it’s understandable. But this, no I’m not as ok with. And it’s something DLP does systematically: at the start of the season a chunk of the stuff isn’t there yet. And it’s simply not ok. Either set it up in time, and completely, or start later.

When we reached Casey’s Corner, I saw Thumper and Miss Bunny were out, so I convinced Bert to have our picture taken with them ^^

I had fun building droids for a bit (I did put all the parts back in their place!) but I didn’t buy any, because they were WAY too expensive for what they were. I can buy a proper Star Wars action figure for that price!

And a last one of the Nautilus, because I love the Nautilus!

I also took some instax photos.

I did want to go wander for photos and maybe do a few more rides, but at that point the cold caught up with me and went right on my joints, making walking sheer and utter agony. Bert was thoroughly fed up with the weather and being cold at that point too, so we decided to really give Forest of Enchantment and Dreams a miss, and just go home.
We had a great time hanging out in the park, but the rain just really kinda ruined it for us because we got so cold and my body simply gave up in the end.

So hopefully next trip we’ll have better weather!
I did write an extensive review on Swing into Spring as a whole, which is in BCM #27, which you can get for free here :)
I also took lots more photos, which are here :)

It was pretty lucky we left when we did, because now we got to drive most of the way in sunshine and in clear weather. Apparently it started raining again after we left, and everyone that drives will agree that torrential rain and darkness are not a great combo to be driving in. So yay, we escaped that :)
