this is primarily for me and karen: but i'll recipe for anyone else who may be interested.
candied nuts:
1 c nuts
3-4 T maple syrup(the real kind)
optional 1/4 - 1/2 t cinnamon
heat nuts in skillet on med-hi heat for a minute or two, pour maple syrup over top, stir until dry and sugary looking.
Notes for Karen myself: I'm now sure that it's the syrup you're using. I tried fake stuff and it just became a burnt gooey mess. Same with molassass or honey. So it looks like you gotta use the pure maple stuff.
I dunno why this is- I'm not a real scientist, just the mad kind.
