This is for general branding. (I'm going to start with the website, and let all the marketing collateral cascade down from there.)
Colors, size, etc. will evolve after I get the general shape nailed down. (Business cards and signage will probably go with a higher contrast color scheme than the digital stuff.)
When signage becomes necessary, it'll be displayed in con and festival merch booths.
I like 1 and 5 best; I confess, I'm not generally a huge fan of mixing calligraphic styles, which is perhaps a bit ironic because I did it for the Godhooks logo, and that is hands down one of the best things I've ever done. But Zanzibar and Olicana aren't even trying to be in the same ballpark, so it was easier to get them to harmonize

::groan:: Maybe I'll drink heavily and change everything to Comic Sans...
I was trying to stay away from a very-uncial font because I want a fantasy look and not an Isles-specific look -- all the decorated uncials made it OH HI THIS IS AN IRISH COMPANY which is *not* my goal at all.
I don't have a design degree, so once we start getting into heavy theory, it kinda makes my head explode...
Maybe I need to scrap all of them and start over from scratch.
Okay, here's what I did. I took all the poll results with an average below 3.5 and scrapped 'em. I then tossed the one I personally liked least. (I thought 7 was boring, I want big fancy caps. I admit this is arbitrary and capricious.) I then stared at the two remaining (1 and 3) and determined what I liked and disliked about each. I liked the cut-out accent and the swoopy-funky serifs in 3. I liked the 'A' in 1 a LOT, and HATED the shape of the 'U' and wished it were more uncial-flavored. I wanted the overall look to be semi-calligraphic, so I wanted there to be different line widths.
