Displaying Holiday Cards
I'm very inspired by this holiday card holder from Pottery Barn. But there's no way I'm shelling out $40 + shipping for something I can make myself with things I have lying around the house.
(I'd love to do this, but we don't have a bannister like that in the house.
The question is, will I actually get around to making it this year? After all, I still need to finish some stockings. And scarves.
...And a second question is, should I make it look more like a deciduous tree and use it year-round for birthday cards, wedding announcements, thank-you cards, etc.? I could swap out a few small ornaments: flowers in spring, green leaves in summer, orange leaves in fall, and snowflakes in winter. Hmmm.
