How Stuff Works: Entropic Trinity

Aug 16, 2007 09:46

A lot of people I know have been experiencing relationship upheaval, or have been asking questions about relationships. So the subject has been on my mind.

Often, people ask my family, "How does that work?" "How can I find a relationship like yours?" "Why is it that you guys are stable, happy, and sane, and so many other polyamorous relationships are maelstroms of drama and heartbreak?"

So, I've been letting it incubate in the back reaches of the wetware, and I think I know some of the things we're doing well. There are things we're doing to make it work: it's not a miracle, it's not fate, it's not an illusion. We have created this relationship, and we maintain it, consciously.

The question is... would anyone care to hear my thoughts? Would you be interested in an inside look into how my relationship ticks, what we're doing that maybe others aren't, what lessons we've learned and experience we've gathered?

We could even get wild & crazy and the three of us could collaborate on these posts. 3 for 1 special! Good bargain, you like?
