So on the (LC, non-metro) bus this morning, I suddenly heard the driver call out, "Whoever has their cell phone ringing, please put it on vibrate."
I was puzzled because I hadn't heard a sound, but figured maybe the person with the phone was up near the front of the bus, far from me.
About 2 minutes later, the driver *yells*, "What did I just say?? Please turn off the ringers of your phones; that's the policy on this bus."
He repeats this in an even more annoyed-sounding way a minute later. He was like, "Do I really have to say this a third time, people?" I still hadn't heard a cell phone ring at this point and was kind of baffled by how agitated this guy seemed to be getting.
Finally, a guy in a suit near the front of the bus loudly says, "You yelling at everyone is causing us way more stress than someone's ringing cell phone could."
MAJOR WIN.
