Just after crossing 47th St. next to 6th Avenue after work today, three office jocks, standing around on the sidewalk, talking:
First guy: "...then you see the huge baby, and..."
Second guy (interrupting): "Oh my god, it's full of stars!"
Third guy: "huh-huh-huh-he-heh!"
On another note, I was walking down 5th avenue after my second, slightly less disturbing test of the Macbook's trackpad button at the new Apple store on 58th and 5th yesterday. Crossed 5th avenue at 54th Street because the light was in my favor, and looked up to see a familiar face from late night television: Chris Parnell. So I waited on the corner for the light to change with one of the funniest people on SNL in years. I suppose I should have had the guts to ask for autographs, but I don't really believe in asking for autographs, and I don't really like bothering famous people in public. The last time I had anyone autograph something was almost 10 years ago when I asked Michael Moore to autograph a Ralph Nader for President flyer at a book signing. I was tempted to ask Mickey Rourke to autograph a twenty dollar bill at the G n' R show last week, though. That would have been hilarious, and somehow appropriate in its absurdity.
