Topic - .hack//G.U.
As, most of us, probably already know - CC2 and Project .hack have been developing their newest game, .hack//G.U., to be prepared for release in late May of this year.
Here's what we know of thus far;
.hack//G.U., or Genesis Union, takes place around seven years after the end of .hack//Quarantine; the last of the four disk RPG series.
Since the last battle of Quarantine, The World was rebuilt and has flourished back to its once full prosperity and over, gaining 12 million players.
But this virtual world that was meant to be a utopia, release from the modern reality, has become a place where lawlessness thrives.
As it is now, The World is infested with Player Killers. Our protagonist, Haseo, is a PKK: A Player Killer Killer.
The question is though, for the ones who have merely seen trailers and have never played the game:
What is G.U's connection to Infection, Mutation, Outbreak and Quarantine?
We have clues - but they're not definite. Anyways, these are just my small little observations.
Well, guess what main level we keep seeing? Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground. Getting kind of old, don't you think? Since we've seen it in .hack//SIGN, .hack//Dusk (Legend of the Twilight) AND the various games.
And we're about to see it in G.U and its anime series; .hack//Roots. (The .hack part gets kind of annoying doesn't it?)
Moving on.
Then come our Protagonists - the 8 PC's you can use throughout the game. (Sorry for the screenshot quality)
Haseo - The Terror of Death
Atori - The Mirage of Deceit
Kuhn - The Propagation
Yata - The Prophet
Sakubo - The Machinator ( Possibly upcoming fave characters. ^^ They're so ADORABLE!!)
Endrance - The Temptress
Pai - The Avenger
Ovan - The Rebirth ( Every RPG has a mysterious guy with glasses!!! D<)
So these are our players. But please - take a close look at everybody's title except for Sakubo.
The Terror of Death - The Mirage of Deceit - The Propagation - The Prophet - The Temptress - The Avenger - The Rebirth.
If they don't look familiar, I'll give you a hint.
What are the Phases of Morganna? Skeith; The Terror of Death, etc? Hint hint there!~

The main enemy is TriEdge - a player killer embelished in an azure flame. They say that a player killed by him never plays The World again.
Tell me, does he look familiar to you? If you guessed Kite - ding ding ding! Correct! And if you guessed Kite, you can easily guess why the characters he kill never play again.
You're also right if you guessed Data Drain.
The question for this part would be what happened to Kite? What drove him to this and who or what might be controlling him?
And blah blah blah - insert HUGE storyline here.-
I also want to know if you find out what happened to the other characters after Quarantine.
Like BlackRose, Elk and so on. ...I didn't play Quarantine so I have no clue what they did..... I heard rumours that Kite quit.
I know Mistral left halfway through Outbreak 'cause she was pregnant with Mireille (.hack//Legend of the Twilight manga) or something.
But the rest I have no clue. ^^ And of course, Mia was a Phase of Morganna - so - yeah.
Just to end off my little rant though... I find this extremely weird. Haseo-kun, our protagonist I mentioned earlier....
