I just watched two documentaries about people that keep
monkies as babies.
So, I can see that, for some of them, their monkey is really honestly like their baby and they love it loads and blablabla, but holy shit, this is all kinds of wrong. Normally the baby stays with its (real, ie. MONKEY) mother for a year after birth but breeders take the baby away after a few days. And then, in one of the documentaries, the people adopting the baby monkey carry it in to the compound where the mother is in her cage. And the mother is so clearly distressed and can see her baby there.
