Thank you! I'm going for a Masters in Public Health with a focus on Behavioral and Community Health. More specifically, I want to study health literacy and why/how people get health information.
Actually it's in the school of Public Health. Behavioral and Community Health seemed like the least scary of the options and my job now has a small focus on health literacy. I just want to expand it.
Interesting! Here at Purdue the public health stuff is through Comm so that's why I wondered. It's nice they have their own school at Pitt!
My diss is...kind of hard to explain, but it's boils down to the fact that Comm and English (as separate disciplines) ignore each other too much and I want to stop it by pointing out why it is they ignore each other even though they study very similar things in very similar ways.
Really? That's interesting. I wouldn't have thought Public Health and Communications would be connected, but after I think about it I can sort of see it. Pitt's is tied with the medical school which is why I'm terrifed.

BTW, are you Dr Metaphoracle now? :)

I am not yet--am on the dissertating part. Job market next year. If all goes well I'll be Dr. Meta in 2011.
