OK, so my average is sitting pretty at a mediocre 81.8%. Hooray. My parents will be so proud.

We had a meeting today in which they said they wanted every member of the graduating class to take on a leadership role within the school community. Apparently we're supposed to do something that involves leading the younger kids. Not a bad idea, really, but why spring it on us NOW? We have ISU's to think of (*groan*)! We're drowning in assignments, and we have university to think of.

If I were to do something...maybe I could talk to the guidance counsellour about making our school more queer-friendly. Right now there's nothing, and queer issues aren't touched with a ten foot pole. I don't know. I don't think there needs to be a weekly discussion group or panel, exactly...our school is too small and diversity-impaired for that. But, like, a pair of (suspected) gay students should NOT be sent to the principal's office to confirm if they're having a relationship together. That's not acceptable. And it would be nice if our school at least TRIED to sound gay-friendly and accepting. I know I'd feel more secure.
