WOW
So we are really chipping away at our to do list. I have 1 more coat of paint to do on our stairs. It was the cheaper way of sprucing things up since we can't afford to cap the stairs @ 100 bucks a step. Since my style is really shabby chic style, it fits. I have been bitching and moaning about my basement i know. and i am very appreciative to all who have not lopped my head off yet. So our basement is not done yet, since we had to rip up the tile we just put down because our contractor nailed intot he floor which cause the hydro static pressure to essentially not work and we got moisture back in. so once THAT was fixed and our stair ripped out again and part of the wall we could not afford to fix everything. we got the stairs and tile fixed and ernie is going to some how fix the wall since we can't nail anything, this should be good.
anyway, our neighbor gave us her pool table, i got a air hockey table off craigs list, my mom gave us her sofa. The basement begins to form. Last night we set it up and even played many games of pool. i still have a lot of shit to clean up and some stuff just needs to be relocated but i can say the basement is in use. I will be much happier sending the mortgage payment now knowing we are using the entire house hahahahaha
This basement has porked what is left of our savings but it needed to be done. Having no water or mold issues is amazing. Ernie has room to do his hobbies now i can work and have the baby downstairs with me. (which means i can work longer hours now!)
Me and my husband make a great team. Last night we got the sofa from my moms which we kept as the upstairs sofa cuz its way comfy like a big hug comfy. so we removed the sofa we were using and put it in the basement. sounds ez? its not. NOTHING is standard in this house. we have to remove the sofa by the back door and in through the side doors of my work shop/office and renove the doors keeping my workshop closed off from the rest of the basement. then we had to move my moms sofa up on the deck through the back door. yea. i am def tender today.
so some things still need to be placed but it mainly clean up and deciding what else we want to get rid off and donate. i need a flyers pool table light:)
