Indy turned 5 a few days ago. And every time someone says happy Birthday to him, he says it right back to them, it is very cute.
We had his party with about 15 or so kids. Indy wanted to try this new kind of pinjata that has pull strings. You don't hit it with anything, you just pull the strings. And I thought it would be fun to have everyone pull the strings at the same time and have the candy rain down on their heads. Well first the thing just fell down, landing right on one kids head, and then the second time when they all pulled, the little door opened, but no candy came out. Later that night when I was putting him to bed, I asked him what his favorite part of his birthday party was and he said it was the pinyata, because the candy didn't fall out.
Indy and I have been reading the Spiderwick books, we are half way through book 2.
I finished reading the Hunger Games trilogy. I did not particularly enjoy the last book. I also hate to say this but I did not much enjoy the first True Blood book.
In the last few months Indy has watched his first non cartoon movies. We did ET first, which he liked, and watched Star Wars last night, which he also liked.
I have been working out while Indy is at summer camp, but he only has 2 more weeks of camp after this week, so we'll see how long I can keep it up once he is out. Of course I could do it when he starts school in the fall, which I am still in denial about.
I applied for a job, although technically they still haven't even published that the job is open, so I am not sure if the person changed their mind and is not leaving, or they just haven't gotten around to looking for someone yet. It wouldn't start until September.
A person I thought was my friend has essentially stopped returning my phone calls. I don't really understand what happened there. While not devastating or anything, it is disappointing. The thought that maybe they were using me as a counselor, even if they didn't set out to do that purposely, I think that's what ended up happening. And I suppose she just doesn't need me anymore.
I'd like to watch Falling Skies and Wilfred, but have not gotten the chance to yet.
I'd like to go camping next year, to the beach, who wants to go with me?
tv,
party,
books,
movies
