Coming from a homeschool perspective, there is no need to send him to pre-school unless you are planning on sending him to public school in the future. Then some parents I know do a two or three day a week pre-school to help prepare the little ones. As far as socialization and all of the other stuff, sounds like you've got it under control.

With the runnign -- this is where I'm an expert. :D Get thee to the Couch to 5k Running program at http://www.coolrunning.com You can download podcasts that will tell you when to run, and when to walk and at the end of it you'll be running 30 minutes (or 5k) at a time. It's how I lost almost 40 pounds and turned into a true runner. :) I can't recommend it enough. It seriously changed my life.

I just read on Perez Hilton tonight that V was canceled already. May want to check on that before you invest your time and energy into it. We're excited about Glee and Community as well and of course sill enthralled with True Blood, Burn Notice, House and of course Heroes starting up again next month.

We are planning to send him to school, but maybe not public school. Thinking about Montessori school. I don't think homeschooling is for me unless something happens/doesn't work out with him in school. I am hoping that one year of preschool before school will be enough of a transition.

I thought you might have some running advice for me! I'll have to check it out, as i am trying to use it to lose a few pounds.

As for tv, I think V wasn't canceled, but production was temporarily stopped so they could rewrite some stuff, at least that's what i read. I am still all about a bunch of returning shows, I didn't list them, True Blood, Burn notice, and House included. I never got into Heroes though. I watched half of season one and just didn't get into it..

Montessori is excellent -- Most down here recommend that you start at age 3. The one thing we didn't like about them was the fact that even at 3, they were full day programs and we weren't ready for her to be gone from us for 8 hours a day. Not sure how they work up there.

The C25K is definitely the way to go for learning to run. It gives you some great motivation, music is already there and you go at your own pace (repeating weeks as necessary). Plus the runners community is awesome. As is the C25K community.

I'll have to go back and read about V. I admit that I just skimmed over it since it wasn't something I was completely interested in. Hopefully it's just paused for right now. Other than Glee I can't think of a single new show we are excited about(Community is so/so with us). Of course I don't know what I"m worried about because I still have full seasons of shows sitting on the Tivo that I haven't had time to watch yet! Hell, we still haven't watched the last 5 episodes of the Sopranos!

I know for 3 they have a half day option, but I don't remember what they have for 4.
