The mysterious blackout / power outage / power cut off... that never was....

Had TWO power outages... and there is NO NEWS about it?!
I can't even find any recent news on the city website! 0_o da heck is that about?!
I was typing on the computer, when POOF. Everything cuts off. I could even hear some neighbors wonder what was going on.
After a few minutes, things turn back on, and of course I restart my comp. Then another hit and everything is down again!
Mom lights some candles and we wait around a bit. I don't turn my comp back on, instead I just lay in the bed, then that is when the power starts up again. Glad it did at that point because I can't really sleep without a radio on.
Just weird there was nothing about it.
