First of all, there is no such thing as a perfect candidate. I was also on the fence until recently. McCain has, in the not too recent past, gone out of his way to 'compromise' with Democrats. Wether it's voting against Dubya's tax cuts, Campaign Finance reform or the judicial nominees. This means, in effect, turning on your party like a rabid dog and helping the other team. McCain has also been against drilling in the Alaska National Wildlife Reserve, wants to shut down the Guantanamo Bay POW camp and believes in man-made global warming. Needless to say, this shit pissed me off.
On the upside, McCain has consistently throughout his career refused to legislate unnecessary spending. No earmarks, no pork barrel bullshit. He chose Sarah Palin as his running mate because he knew he pissed of the conservative base of the Republican party. Hell, Palin is better on the issues than McCain, and is more qualified to be President than Obama. Hell, I agree with Gabby, Palin should be at the top of the ticket. I'm voting for McCain primarily because of her.
Windmills and solar panels cannot provide enough energy long term to make up for the cost of installation and maintainance. It's all about the money.
Obama isn't 'pro-choice'. He gets off on baby death. When he was a state senator in Chicago, he voted three times against legislation designed to protect and preserve the lives of babies who survived unsuccesful abortions. He was do determined to protect Roe vs Wade that he'd rather let babies die slowly in trash cans.
Gays already have all the rights granted by the Constitution. What more do they want?
Obama has surrounded himself with leftist, America hating scum for the past 20 years of his life: Jeremiah Wright (Obama's former pastor, baptized his children): "No, no, no! Not God Bless America, GOD DAMN AMERICA!..."
William Ayers: an unrepentant left-wing terrorist and former member of the Weather Underground who bombed the Pentagon and planned to bomb the Capitol. Ayers states to this day that he has no regrets and wishes he could do more. He's been an off again-on again friend and supporter of Obama for 17 years
Michelle Obama: Stated that her husband's candidacy was the first time she was "really proud" of her country. The bitch also called America "downright mean".
Obama is beyond bad, he is extremely dangerous and a disgrace. He has stated his desire to force volunteer work on school students up to and including college. He wants to spend 850 billion (yes with a 'b') on new government programs. He wants to send another 800 billion to the UN for fighting poverty. His health care plan is a carbon copy of Hillary's (which means it's Marxist to say the least). He wants to end nuclear power and believes in total nuclear disarmament. He has also stated a desire to deweaponize space, so bye bye SDI and American safety and defense. What galls me about Obama is how he thinks that working as a community organizer, spending 3 years in the senate and running for President makes him qualified to be the leader of the free world.
Oh, and one more thing: The vicious, baseless attacks on Sarah Palin over the past week prove two things: 1. The mainstream media has now openly admitted and revealed their bias in favor of liberals in general and Obama in particular. See, I told you it was all about liberal propaganda. See www.newsbusters.org if you doubt this. 2. Fox News is the solution (along with talk radio), not the problem.
