I`m over 30 years old. I was in the United States Navy. I have a 10 year old son and an 8 year old daughter.
I understand contracts and responsibilities and obligations just fine thanks.
But I also understand what it`s like to look at your life and realize that this isn`t what you signed up for. I understand what it`s like to be pushed to the limits of your body, your mind and your fucking soul and know that anything would be better than forcing your body out of bed in the morning to do it all over again.
More than that. I understand what it`s like to watch someone you love be pushed to that same limit and just know that you`d rather take all that crushing weight onto yourself and let them go than watch them suffer another moment.
