Title: Unbalanced
Length: Chaptered, Prologue
Author: M_K Yujji
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Angst, MPreg
Warnings: MPreg, AU, RPS, mild xover
Disclaimer: Though real people are used as characters, this fic bears no resemblence to Real Life and these people are not owned by me.

Comments/Notes: There will be some mild crossing over of the movie Junior. Although this is a chaptered fic, I don't expect it to be exceptionally long. Five to ten chapters at most unless it takes on a life of its own and devours all of my other muses. >_> which isn't unheard of, really...

The 'ie' is not intended as an honorific.

I am also working on the sequel to Reality Check, which is from Jaejoong's point of view. It's a bit slower because he is more difficult for me to write than Changmin or Yunho.

The delay of Chapter 4 of The Long Exile is going to be longer than I'd expected. ;_; I got my laptop back, but had to send it back in because they didn't fix the problem. Stupid Geek Squad. >_>

“Excuse me.... But what the fuck?”

The doctor looked decidedly uncomfortable and apologetic as he shifted slightly away from the possible explosion. Changmin didn't blame him. Both Jaejoong and Yunho looked ready to pull the man apart with their bare hands if his prognosis wasn't retracted. One was dangerous. Both? The entire clinic would be in shambles. “Umm... You're pregnant?”

He put gentle hand on the shoulder of each. Someone was going to have to take charge or they'd kill the man before they got answers. “How is that possible, doctor? Yunho is male.”

That much should have been pretty obvious, but he felt it better to state it plainly just in case the doctor had somehow missed it or gotten the tests mixed up. The doctor seemed pathetically relieved that someone was remaining calm. “Yes sir, I'm aware. We ran the tests three different times and there is no doubt.”

“But where- how-“ Jaejoong was practically sputtering as he stared at Yunho, clearly trying to figure out exactly how such an impossibility was possible. Yunho had simply gone ghostly white. Perhaps he was remembering the horror stories his mother had told about his own birth.

“To be honest, we're not entirely sure how it's possible. There is precedent set - a male American scientist gave birth a few years ago - but that was deliberately done with the aid of science and medicine. If it's quite all right, I'd like to contact him. Even if we rule out his research having anything to do with your own condition, well... He is, to my knowledge, the only other living male to have ever experienced the things that you'll be going through. His advice would be invaluable.”

“Of course. Consult whomever you need.”

The doctor handed a bulging folder over to Changmin. “We have an excellent pre-natal care facility right here. My recommendation is that we treat this as if it was any normal pregnancy until we have a better idea of what's going on.”

“What about getting rid of it?” Yunho's voice was faint and he looked like he was a heartbeat away from passing out. “There are options for that, right?”

“Yunnie....”

But the doctor was shaking his head. “I'd advise against it at this time. We just don't know enough about how it happened in the first place. We could end up doing irreparable damage. Our best estimation is that you're about three months along. I promise that we'll do all that we can to speed things up on our end, but I don't think abortion will be a viable option for you.”

After that, neither Yunho or Jaejoong spoke again. They left the rest of the conversation entirely up to Changmin and the doctor as Yunho stared out the window and Jaejoong stared at Yunho.

It was Changmin who made the follow up appointment and left the number to reach them when more information was available.

It was Changmin who gently herded the pair out the door to the car and drove them home.

“Hey, guys, so how did things-“

“Fuck off,” Yunho ground out as he stormed past Yoochun and went to lock himself in the bedroom.

Jaejoong just sighed and gestured towards the kitchen. “I’m going to... make dinner... or something.”

Changmin opted not to point out that they’d only eaten lunch right before they'd visited the doctor's office. If it helped the older man regain his sense of balance, well... The youngest would be more than happy to eat the results.

He waited until Jaejoong had left the room before sighing and turning to stare at the bewildered faces of the final two members of their little family. “Maybe you’d better sit down for this....”
