KMF 2012
Well... I didn't have any of my usual partner's in crime, so I was a bit adrift. Still, I managed to meet new people and I didn't get arrested... >_> although I think Seungho might have preferred it if I had.
GO and Mir ended up next door to me and um... yeah. Let's just say I gawked and embarrassed myself and leave it at that, shall we?
Joon was a sweetheart, Seungho was perpetually grumpy, I only saw Thunder once. Gain was a snooty bit** and all the rest of B.E.G. were very nice.
My autograph collection has now expanded to include G.O. (so handsome, sweet, and smells amazing, fyi), Seungho (whose emoticon autographs show his mood), Joon, Jea, Son Hoyoung(omg, the biggest sweetheart ever), Kim Taewoo, Danny Ahn, Lee Yong, Kim Kyung-Ho, Oong, one of the members of Arirang, and Bobby Kim.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEKEND HAPPENED WITHIN AN HOUR OF ARRIVING - SON HOYOUNG GAVE ME A HUG, AN AUTOGRAPH, AND SMILED FOR MY CAMCORDER.
I may have died of happiness a little when I went back to sit down again. It took like... half an hour to stop shaking.
I'm a little ashamed of some of my behavior, but I'm pleased to tell you that I did not grab anyone inappropriately or stick anything in anyone's face and whenever someone indicated that they did not want to be filmed or give an autograph, I backed away as quick as I could manage.
I managed to give my actual gifts to Seungho (the bag was for all of them, one gift each, but I think he thought it was all just for him. oops?). :\ I hope that GO and Joon don't think I expected them to keep the bears I gave them. The bears were just carriers for the letters I'd written. I was expecting to toss them up onto the stage, and I didn't think that plain old letters would make it without help, but then I ended up giving them the next day instead...
I recorded pretty much the entire concert. I've just about finished uploading, but you can catch it on my youtube channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/nemkess - They're numbered for the most part, though it looks like I missed a few. Not of the concert itself, but with things that happened Thursday and Friday, mostly, it looks like. ^_^
All the acts were amazing and fuck everyone who said the line up sucked. THE LINE UP WAS FUCKING AWESOME. g.o.d reunion was epic. I was right next to the stage and any time the artists (mostly g.o.d. but also some mblaq) stopped in front of me, they were pretty much above me and I was filming straight up, lol. ^_^;; Man did I get beat up, though. lol. I might have to get seats in the boxes in the future just to avoid the bruising I'm currently sporting.
Saw the artists off at the airport, but I think in the future I'll avoid that. It was more depressing than seeing them off at the hotel, for some reason. Not to mention much more stalker-ish. MBLAQ's manager actually took the band to the men's restroom and made them stay there until it was their turn at the check in. I think that was the moment when I sat back and really evaluated my behavior over the weekend. I wasn't nearly as bad as some - crazy grandma/grandaughter pair win that award, I think - but I'm still a little horrified at myself.
So yeah. New Rules for future KMF's.
Rule #1 - my friends and dongsaeng are not allowed to let me go alone.
Rule #2 - no more airport goodbyes (unless happenstance puts us all there)
Rule #3 - no more doing that embarrassing thing that I won't talk about.
Rule #4 - SLEEP IDIOT. 10 hrs for 4 days is NOT cool. >_> I'm not 18 anymore.
Rule #5 - If an idol looks like they're going to make a clean getaway, DO NOT call him back to give him a letter-carrying bear. (Joon would have totally gotten away if he hadn't stopped for me)

So my trip was awesome, I was a little pathetic, and I met some interesting people.
And then I got home to sad news. One of my friends had a brain aneurism the day after I left for LA and one of my co-workers lost his battle with cancer the day I got back. The atmosphere at work as been very somber and depressed.
