The worst part of riding a scooter while living in Seattle is not the rain.

No.

The worst part of riding a scooter while living in Seattle is the number of cars that seem to think I need a puddle shower ever two minutes.

Because, ya know... They really need to pass me right next to the giant puddle instead of... I dunno... waiting six feet to pass me during the dry spot.

Idgits.

In over a year of riding up here, I have never come home as sopping wet as today. The water soaked through my rain gear down into my lower layers.

This entire day has just been... *sigh*

I got to work to the news that our flattop grill had a rather catastrophic gas leak and they couldn't seem to get it stopped. I love being told that we can't use our grill because if we turn it on it will blow up.

They took it out while I was there.

Did they shut us down?

Nope.

Only at my workplace can you have the ridiculousness of a Short order kitchen with no grill.

And better, the gas lines don't have cut off valves, so they had to turn off the gas and cap it. While they were doing that, every gas operated appliance in the kitchen was out except for one of our deep fryers.

It's times like these when I just stand back and shake my head.

random, life
