Wheeeee Ohayocon!

So I went to Ohayocon with Nick, Derek, Aaron, and Raz this weekend. OMG, the fun. It didnt really start off fun, we were in the registration and pre-reg lines for a really long time because they were having technical problems. And the air conditioning was messed up in the room so it was really hot friday and saturday, never under 70 or 80 degrees. But it was fixed saturday evening so after that it was cool. The first panel I got to go to was the Ultimate Hellsing Panel of Ultimateness. It was kinda boring, I dont think we even stayed for the whole thing. After that we wandered, bought stuff. Next panel was A crash Course in Glomping. It was so hillarious. We covered glomps that are legal and illegal. And the basics to safe glomping. My favorite glomps were the Katamari glomp, the Mimi glomp and the ninja glomps. All of these are technically illegal. The Katamari glomp happens when one person jumps on the shoulders of another from behind them, the glomped person then grabs the ankles of the glompee and the roll into a ball. The demonstraters tried it twice and didnt get it right either time. The second time they almost ran into me and the random stranger sitting next to me. They advised that the Mimi glomp only be done between signifigant others. The glompee puts their arms around the neck of the glomped amd jumps onto their arm. A good way that the glomped can get rid of the glompee is to ram them into a wall or a stair's hand rail. Its a good way to teach them not to do it again. XD There are three different ninja glomps. The first is jumping onto someone who is a level lower than you when they dont expect you. The second is diving into someone who is a level higher than you. These are good to use in retaliation against each other. The last ninja glomp is done with three people, two glompees and one almost glomped. The glompees, probably not paying attention to each other, charge an attempted glompee at the same time. The glomped then ducks out of the way, using Tai Kwon Glomp techniques, and the glompees run into each other. The attempted glomped the quickly walks away before security shows up to see what the heck is going on. Hehehehe. Then came more wandering, a shower, and then haging out in the room a bit then sleep.
Saturday: This involved getting up and ready. Derek, Aaron, Nick and I dressed up as heartless that day. Derek made himself a keyblade, it tried to fall apart alot but it wasnt anything electrical tape couldnt fix. The outfits were so cool, Derek took pics of all of us. Derek and a female Sora posed in battle positions for pictures. But he lost because she had a yaoi keyblade. XD We then waited in the first session of "Please sign this" where voice actors and stuff gave autographs. But I was getting bored after a half hour of sitting, and didnt really care about who was signing stuff at the moment, so Raz and I left to wander. Came back after visiting the dealers room and sat outside the room waiting for the others. Panda showed up and we all chatted until he had to leave for security duty. After the first session of Sign this we dropped off stuff at the room and then went to the second session. I got to meet the voice of Ayame from Fruits Basket! He was so awesome! I <3 Chris Sabat. I also met two guys during the second please sign this. They were so funny, and both were named Matt. We talked about Cat Busses and what would happen if there were things like cat cars, planes, helicopters, tow trucks and such. Then we got to the nitty gritty and wondered how gross it would be to wake up to giant hairballs in your driveway or how nasty cleaning the litter boxes would be. And what would happen if they were in heat or road rage. The funniest thing was a few hours after this I saw some people cosplaying as a cat bus. Then we went back to the room to eat lunch. Hung out for a bit. Then Raz and I headed to the webcomics panel. It was almost cancled because the panelists didnt show up but other webcomic artists and writers that were in the crowd took over and saved the day. Yaaaaay! I got alot of tips and names of other webcomics. We then went to the Mr. Chocobo Show panel, I guess it was supposed to be funny but it kinda flopped. We didnt stay long. But the guy who headed the glomping panel was in the audience and he was cosplaying as casualy dressed Wolverine. I so wanted to glomp him. But I got pictures so it works. After that Raz, Derek, and I were going to go to Uncensored Guests, but Raz lost his ID on the way there. Derek and I went in for a bit anyway but there was an asshole standing behind us yelling alot and being rude so the funny was lost on us. So we left to help Raz look for his ID. We retraced our steps to the stairs, walked up twelve flights, and the searched the hallway and room. It wasnt found sadly. We even reported it to the hotel and no one turned it in. Good thing his Social security number wasnt on it. After hanging in the room a bit I went to a yaoi panel with D. It was hot and crowded and I really didnt enjoy it, but I'm still glad I went because D-chan and I saw the funniest object there. I'd rather not go into details, but it can definatly help you hide valuables in your anus! XD!!! Then I wandered. Hung with Raz. Then went back to the room for the night. Tried this Merry Berry Merlot stuff that D and Nick bought before the con. I thought it tasted gross but the others seemed to enjoy it so maybe I'm just weird. Then came packing and sleep.
Sunday:Woke up. Loaded the car. Wandered a bit. Checked out. Ate pizza. Went to Ohayocon Dubbing with Chris Sabat with D. That was fun. He was explaining the different ranges he used on voices and how he can have two completly different voices on the same pitch. He used Piccolo and Armstrong, from FMA, as an example. It was kinda funny hearing Armstrong yell "Gohan, do it!" After that we met up with the others and headed to Delusions of Gender panel. We had no idea what is was about but the name was funny so we went. Turns out it was about crossplaying , but the panelists didnt show up so we left and went to a panel called "Inside the Directors Studio". I wasnt really paying attention to it. After we went to the Closing Ceremonies, it only lasted about 15 minutes and consisted of all the guests being thanked to applause and then the con goers were thanked for making it possible and it was officially declared closed. We all went to the car, ate leftover pizza. Raz and Aaron crashed in the car and D went around my town on Animal Crossing DS while he Nick and I made fun of the game. Then the three of us that were awake went wandering the con grounds, after hiding Aarons shoes behind the cars tires, to see who was still there. We found a small piece of paper that had a drawing of a head crab on it from Half Life and said "Do not feed". I was trying to explain head crabs to D and Nick. Apparantly I didnt describe the size clearly enough because D looked at me and said "Can you get rid of them with a special shampoo?" I almost fell over laughing. He thought they were tiny bugs instead of medium sized aliens that latched onto the top of your head. We joked that I should make hats and plushies of them and try to sell them next year. I'm not terribly good at sewing and I'm not entirely clear about copyright stuff when it comes to con merchandise but it sounds like something worth pursuing. We got back to the car and went to Nicks sisters to return her camera. They werent home so we were waiting in the car for about 2 hours, which mostly consisted of Nick picking on me, by tickleing me and pointing out various pressure points, Derek and Nick picking on Aaron, by the same methods I think and us griping about how long we were waiting. I got home about 10 and crashed almost immediatly. I had so much fun overall.
I bought alot of artwork at this con. I was kinda surprised but it was all so good and there wasnt really any manga or animes I could think of that I wanted. Then I remembeed that I was supposed to be looking for FMA vloumes 3 and up, but only after I spent most of my money. I also bought a black Mokona plushie, a small red kitsune plushie, Raz bought me a white medium sized Mokona plushie, which I had to hug him lots for,a fan with the kanji for fox on it and rabies. XD There was a merchant selling plushies of viruses and microscopic bugs. They had rabies, HIV, mono, ear aches, lice, fleas and things like that. Nick bought HIV. I went around the con touching the rabies plushie to peoples forehead and "blessed" them wth rabies. I gave rabies to Inuyasha, Captain Jack Sparrow, Mynchi and alot of other people. Then I said "Go spread the rabies love!" Inuyasha played along and started foaming at the mouth with spit bubbles. D and I got the idea to buy alot of cans of whip cream and use it next year to spread rabies to fans. And we will even give them the choice of flavor! "Would you like chocolate, strawberry or vanilla rabies?" Hahahahahaha!!! XD
