This fanfic was inspired by the desktop meme I did almost a month ago. Ev ( kokified ) and I exchanged a couple of ideas and here it is: a short fanfic dedicated to the awesome trio, KoMaruDa!!! ❤

BETTING OVER UEBO'S WALLIE
"And cut! Okay, that's a wrap! Good job Nakamaru-kun!"
The group had just finished shooting another music video. And as usual, it was Nakamaru who was the last one to be filmed. "Ahhh, why do I always have to be last? Why can't they do it the other way around even for once?" Nakamaru whined to himself. "Oh well, I guess that's what happens when you're the last letter in your group's name"... After thanking all the shooting crew members for a job well-done, Nakamaru changed his clothes and quickly headed out of the filming venue where the other members were waiting for him.
As soon as he got out, he was greeted by Ueda, with a big smile plastered across his small face. "Yay! Yucchi's already here!" Ueda was so bouncy like a little child and Nakamaru couldn't help but think how cute he was. Alongside Ueda was Koki who said, "at last... What took you so long? How many takes did you have to do huh?"
"Shut up Koki", Nakamaru said. "You're just lucky you're not always the last one to be filmed you know", he answered back, sounding a little irritated.
"Ehhh??? C'mon Yucchi, I was just teasing you", Koki replied. "Why so hot-tempered? Maybe you're just hungry. Let's go grab a bite somewhere." Koki said as he put his arm on Nakamaru's shoulder.
"Where are the others?" Nakamaru asked when he noticed three of their fellow members were not around.
"Well, Jin said he'd be meeting Yamapi and Ryo-kun; Kame went home right away coz he isn't feeling too well; and Taguchi... I don't know about that guy. He just bought a new game for his PS3 and he was so excited to go home and play it. So it's just the three of us!" A cheerful Ueda answered as he squeezed himself between Koki and Nakamaru and put one arm over Koki's shoulder and the other arm over Nakamaru's.
Koki's cheeks blushed as he felt Ueda's hand on his shoulder. "What's up with that bright disposition today Uepopu?" he managed to ask.
"Because today is Tat-chan day!!!" a very hyper Ueda exclaimed, while jumping up and down.
"What??? Tat-chan day???" the two asked in unison. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Because right now we're officially on break for five days!!! And I love referring to vacations as Tat-chan day... how cool is that?" Ueda answered, still all bouncy and hyper.
"Ne Tat-chan, can you please stop bouncing around like Tigger? I'm starting to get dizzy!" Nakamaru demanded while Koki was just standing there, staring at Ueda, quite amused.
"Oh Yucchi, you're such a grump", Ueda joked. "C'mon, let's eat. I'll treat you guys since it's Tat-chan day... Hmmm, I feel like having nabe***"... Ueda said, thinking out loud.
"Nabe? In the middle of summer? Are you kidding? I thought you wanted some pasta?" Koki asked.
"Ah okay, actually anything's fine with me", Ueda answered, still smiling. "Let's eat, shall we?" And soon the three guys were in the restaurant Ueda recommended. While waiting for their orders to arrive, Koki noticed something on Nakamaru's mobile... the wallpaper on the latter guy's phone was a picture of a smiling Ueda. He was a little dumbfounded. He wasn't so sure how to react. He was sure Nakamaru knew that he's got feelings for Ueda since they're best friends and he was quite open when it comes to things like that. Does Yucchi also like my Uebo? Since when? How come I didn't know about it? Koki thought, lots of different questions entered his mind.
Koki looked a little distracted and quiet while they were eating. Ueda noticed it so he asked him. "Koki are you okay? You've been like that since we got here. Don't you like the food? I'm sorry..." Ueda tried to apologize because he was the one who recommended that place and he thought Koki wasn't enjoying his meal.
"No, the food here is great. I'm just in deep thought I guess. Sorry about that." Koki apologized in return.
"Yeah, you do look like you're in deep thought alright", Nakamaru said, with a big mocking grin on his face. Koki just gave him a glare. How dare you talk like that when you're the reason why I'm acting like this, silly! He thought. Koki wanted so much to confront Nakamaru and ask him what the real score between him and Ueda was but he could not do so simply because Ueda's right there with them and it would be really awkward if that happened.
Just then, Nakamaru stood up. "I'll just go to the restroom" he said. Koki thought it was an opportunity for him to talk to Nakamaru so he immediately excused himself and said, "Me too. I'm coming with you."
Koki made sure the two of them were out of Ueda's sight before asking Nakamaru. When he felt it was already safe, Koki said, "Hey Yucchi, do you like Tat-chan?"
Nakamaru was caught off-guard. "Huh? What made you ask that all of a sudden?" He said, his face turning red.
"Don't answer my question with another question! Just yes or no- do you like Tat-chan?" Koki tried hard not to raise his voice.
"Well... yes... I think..." a very scared Nakamaru said.
"What do you mean you think? So you like him! That's why your phone wallpaper is Tat-chan's picture, am I right?" Koki was fuming.
"Oh shit, how did you find out? I'm really sorry Koki... please don't be mad". Nakamaru would kneel down the floor if he could if only they weren't in a public restroom where there were other people who might see them. "I've always liked him, I just couldn't tell you because I know how strong your feelings are for Tat-chan so I just kept it to myself."
"I'm not mad, Koki answered. I'm just a little hurt because I thought we're best friends and I didn't even know about it. I'm sorry I got a little too intense... By the way, so when you went to lavender fields..."
"Yyyesss..." Nakamaru answered hesitantly. "I already like him then." He was avoiding Koki's eyes.
"Why, you..." Koki grabbed Nakamaru on the collar of his shirt.
"Wait, let me explain... nothing happened there I swear! Nakamaru defended himself, sounding very frightened. Except that there was a huge thunderstorm then and I asked Tat-chan if I could stay in his room..." Nakamaru was practically mumbling.
Koki got enraged even more. "You stayed in one room together??? What did you do to my Uebo?!?!?!"
"Nothing! We just watched TV, played cards and slept. I was on the bed, Tat-chan slept on the couch", Nakamaru replied, unsure of what kind of trouble he got himself into.
"Damn you Yucchi! You made my dear Uebo sleep on the couch? How dare you!"
"I'm really really really sorry Koki... it won't happen again I swear..."
Their little squabble was interrupted when Ueda went into the restroom to check on them. "What's taking you so long guys? Are you okay?"
The two quickly tried to regain their composure and said, "Yes. We're on our way out actually."
"Good. I already paid the bill", Ueda smiled. "So what do you wanna do next? Wanna chill at my place? Let's watch some DVDs or whatever", he offered.
Koki and Nakamaru looked at each other, and answered a resounding "Yes", their eyes beaming because they were personally invited by Ueda, the person they both like, to his own house.
"Yatta!" Ueda exclaimed happily. "Thanks guys." And off they went to Ueda's place. As they arrived at his house, Koki whispered something to Nakamaru. "I ain't done with you yet", he threatened the older guy, and flashed him a devious smile. Nakamaru just stood by the gate, with a confused look on his face.
"Make yourselves at home guys. You want some beer? How about chips?" Ueda did his best to estimate his guests. "Cold beer would be nice", answered Nakamaru.
While Ueda was in the kitchen to get some snacks and beer, Koki saw Ueda's computer and nudged Nakamaru with his elbow. "Hey Yucchi, I got an idea." "What is it?" asked Nakamaru. Koki pointed at the computer, "See that? Wanna make a bet whose picture is on his desktop? I'm pretty sure it is me", he said confidently.
"Oi oi, don't get too cocky", Nakamaru said. "What if it's me? Tat-chan likes taking pictures of us whenever we do our radio show", he boasted.
"Hmph, we'll see about that. Loser will become a personal driver for one week." Koki declared.
"Alright then, you got a deal! Let's see who among us is closer to Tat-chan's heart!" Nakamaru accepted Koki's proposal.
"Here you go guys, some cold beer to help us relax..." Ueda said happily. "I wish the other guys were here too... It's their loss hahaha." He laughed heartily. "I got a couple of new DVDs, you might want to check it out."
"Can we just watch American Idol on TV?" asked Nakamaru.
"Umm, baka! American Idol's latest season has already ended!" Koki hit Nakamaru on the head.
"Ah really? Sorry I didn't know hahaha." Nakamaru laughed at his own foolishness.
"Ah, Tat-chan, can I use your computer? I just need to check something on my mail", Koki cleverly asked Ueda as he glanced at Nakamaru and winked.
"Ummm, okay... but is it really urgent?" Ueda sounded a little panicky, his cheeks suddenly became more pinkish than it used to.
"Why, is something wrong? Is there something in there you don't want ME to see?" Koki asked, as if implying something.
"Nothing, really... it's just a little embarrassing..." Ueda replied, not noticing Koki's slight insinuation.
"Hmmm... Tat-chan's got a secret..." Nakamaru teased. "C'mon, what is it? We're curious..." As he was teasing Ueda, Koki immediately turned on the computer.
"Noooo!!!" a helpless Ueda tried to stop him, but to no avail.
"Sorry Uepopu, too late", Koki quipped.
"Ah shit, this is gonna be so embarrassing..." Ueda said, covering his face as the computer started up.
Meanwhile, Koki and Nakamaru waited in suspense to see who's gonna win and who's gonna be a personal driver for one week. Soon enough, the mystery unfolded... and there it was- on Ueda's desktop was a picture of them three, Koki sticking his tongue out, Nakamaru holding a peace sign, and Ueda in the middle, each of his arms wrapped around their shoulders. It was a very happy-looking picture.
Koki and Nakamaru looked at Ueda in surprise. "That's your wallpaper?" they asked Ueda.
"Yup..." Ueda nodded. Is it weird?
"No, we really think it's great! Right, Koki?" Nakamaru reassured him.
"Really? I'm glad you liked it. You guys are the closest to me in our group. We do lots of fun stuff together. You're both very close to my heart. I'm very happy when I'm with you. I love you guys", Ueda said with a smile.
"Awww... I'm so touched..." Nakamaru was about to give Ueda a hug when Koki got in their way and stepped on Nakamaru's foot.
"Ouch! What was that for?" Nakamaru grimaced in pain.
"Oh, I didn't know it was your foot, sorry!" Koki said sarcastically.
And the three of them laughed out loud and spent the whole day together, having a blast, just like how real friends do.
Then Koki said, "so I guess nobody's gonna be a driver eh?" Koki and Nakamaru burst into laughter as poor Ueda just looked at them, totally clueless about what was going on.
