30 Day Song Challenge: Favourite Song
yes, i'm going to try another one of those "daily challenge" memes i'm so awesome at succeeding at.
Favourite Song
this always leaves me terribly torn. there are so many songs out there i just adore and could spend my entire life listening to only those songs, that having to choose just one of them is painful beyond description. so, i've decided to give you two of my favourite songs, by two of my favourite artists: Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam and Elton John.
the first is o caritas by Cat Stevens and is from his album Catch Bull at Four (a seriously underrated release from him, personally). it's a greek flavoured latin lyriced song of awesome. i'm not entirely sure what it is exactly that draws me to this song, but i just love it. this video is apparently from a live show he did in 1975 in paris.

the second is Levon by the one and only Elton John. this tale of a father and a son and their different views on the world is superb and brought tears to my eyes when i was fortunate enough to hear it live in 2006.
