i've just borne witness to the boredom of plain clothes detectives.
a young male, 18-21, dark skin,carrying a skateboard, wearing a reversed baseball cap and carrying a backpack was 'randomly' selected for a bag check on the street. from all appearances there was no cause for it. and judging by the fact that nothing incriminating was found in this young man's possesion as he casually wandered to the skate park, it would be true.
one wonders what was so dull about these detectives' day that made them choose to be so, well, typical.
