Back from Mechacon VI (Continued...)
Saturday~
Woke up at 7 a.m. sharp to take showers. We headed out of the room to Star Buck's coffee. We met Pita there and got a White Chocolate Mocha. It was sooo~ good! x3 We got to meet a male Xion cosplayer along with his girlfriend and a couple other cosplayers with their couples. We showed our artwork to people and then headed upstairs to sign the Cosplay Contest slip for Walk-Ons and I turned in my Cosplay Chess Match slip. At about 11 a.m. we went back up to change for the Cosplay Contest. I changed into my Sky Forme! Shaymin mascot suit while sis changed into her Boris Array. We got a LOT of pictures while going to the pre-meeting. I was lucky that we got to the doors early so that sis could sew the hole on my arm (how'd that get there?). Luckily we had some nice people who lent a needle. (Thank you Haku!) And from there on...it was very uncomfortable.
The cosplay contest was good, just didn't expect to see such few skits and several walk-ons. I was #29 out of 41? They had screens, walk-on platform,everything. I didn't get anything for my hard work...and the same people pretty much won again. ): I was happy to see that my buddy Pandah and her hubbie's skit group won! They really deserved it! I gave the Cosplay Contest a B for the rating. It was better than last year which I rated a D. Hopefully it'll be even better next year!
After the Cosplay Contest I changed back to myself, while sis continued to stay in her Borris outfit. We walked out to the pool and ranted about the Cosplay Contest to Ms.Kari and dad. One little girl pointed out at sis and told her mom "Look mom! There's a pink haired girl!" That just made my day and I realized that from now on I won't be entering any cosplay contests at Mechacon. Cause why should I enter every year? It was pointless.
At about 6 pm we went to Popeyes with Pandah,Drugall, and Youngster Joey. It was good and the lady at the cash register talked with us and enjoyed our costumes. Too bad she didn't have her camera with her. We did get a couple of pictures there from people while eating. :3
We got back at the hotel and hung with Pandah's group till 10 pm. We all went together to go see the "Crossplay for Men and Women" panel hosted by Count D and Itsukii. It was amazing! Count D even knew who I was behind the suit! x3 Next time they should have a Fursuit Panel. :)
After that, Pandah and her group left to bed. Sis and I decided to go to the Anime Dating Game (18+). We stayed for the first round....it sucked. It wasn't very funny...it was missing everything. ;^;
So we left after the first round and went to bed for the night. I slept like a baby! x3
