Steve's never been asked what his intentions were towards someone's Godson before.

And he has no idea how to say "I'm not sure what my intentions are" without getting the Death Glare of "I could burn down your house and nobody would be able to tell it was arson."

ETA: I was thinking about this some more, and I think Steve would end up babbling about how the whole relationship... thing is great, Danny's great, and Grace is great, so yeah, it's really... great.

And Danny's godfather thinks Steve is a moron.

So there's a bunch of pictures of the Williams kids in the break room. Little Danny hugging the fire station dog. His police academy graduation. Matty in his first suit. Their sisters dressed as some terrible 90's pop group. They call it the Wall of Shame.
