Enroll him in Starfleet Academy and get him assigned to a posting on a starship or space station when he graduates and it will inevitably end in tears and sadness and the flaming wreckage of a once happy childhood memory.
Ensign, or perhaps, if he is lucky and survives what the universe has to throw at him long enough, Lieutenant Pooh Bear beams down to the surface of a planet with his away team, little suspecting what cruel fate awaits him by the end of the day.
