I watched the pilot episode of Castle yesterday, and okay, it's perhaps a bit too early to claim to be in love, but at the very least I am very much in like with this show.
I just.
It hits every button I have regarding shows of its kind, and, oh, the fact he has an actual relationship with his daughter? So many, many hearts, I cannot even. (I am filled with warm and fuzzy emotions because really, how easy is it to create a show depicting a truly dysfunctional family vs what they've done with this show? Seriously, so many hearts.
Gerard the weird famous weird comic book writer meets Frank the police detective when someone stages murders like scenes from his works! (And then shenanigans!)
Or, okay, Pete would be a better fit as Castle with Patrick as the (kind-of-secret-but-not-really fan of his writing/music/god knows what) police detective, and then shenanigans! (I'm picturing Gabe in there somewhere as one of Patrick in there somewhere, and of course, that would just be super, super awesome.)
