You guys, hi. Just got home from work and ~shopping and omgomgomg, I now have The Rocketeer and Romancing the Stone.

I am delighted, okay? DELIGHTED.
Also, who wants to write me a Rocketeer AU wherein Frank is Cliff, Gerard is Jenny, Bob (or Ray?) is Peevy, and then there are hilarious shenanigans and Nazis and mafia types and okay, I totally forget what else, but am going to watch the movie and stuff my face now.
...also/or, I would love for someone to provide me with a Romancing the Stone AU wherein Gerard writes romance novels until he can get his comic book off the ground (I am torn between him writing romance novels with characters who are ~empowered and whatnot, or truly horrendous bodice rippers with Fabio on the cover.) And you just know his mom and her friends would read the shit out of those books and have no idea Gerard's the author - even though he doesn't try to hide it or anything. They have little a book club and sit around drinking coffee, smoking, and reading passages from the books out loud or talking about their favorite parts. Gerard wanders into the kitchen after a night of furious writing and turns alarming shades of red when he realizes what they're talking about and splutters - spittakes are ideal in this scenario! - and scurries back to the safety of The Basement.
And then! And then Gerard has to go save Mikey and meets ~*~Frank~*~, who is like someone out of a romance novel and, uh, obviously I haven't seen this movie in years, so I forget all what happens, but whatever.
