Adventures with coffee!
Only not so much.
This morning I was looking for coffee and realized that we'd run out of the regular blend and only had the little sampler pack of Holiday Flavored Coffee! (Totally an impulse buy.)
There were cheerful reindeer and snowmen drinking coffee wearing fluffy scarves and cute knit caps with puffy pompoms. Apparently I am weak to such things. (I didn't even know snowmen could drink coffee, what with the hot beverage part leading to melting and a slow, painful death. :D)
Anyway. The Buttered Rum coffee was pretty good, but the Eggnog Grog (the names of the various coffee flavors may have pushed me into buying the sampler pack because I'm easy like that) was kind of gross. I just. It tasted like a cup of chemical badness. I'm thinking it was the rum flavoring they used, which is just confusing as it was very much delicious in the Buttered Rum coffee. Why so cruel, coffee drinking reindeer? Why so cruel?
Also. As I was writing the above I realized that there are (at least) three Starbucks within a half mile of my house. This is, perhaps, a sign.
