Ah.
Beautiful
...I really wanted one of the boys to not be human - but that last line makes it hard to tell.
Shiny!

I've lost my mojo! ;p (But no, I was trying to be super clever and have it be that John knew Rodney was the dragon (because he is, I just never actually said ^^;;) and Rodney denying it even though they both knew that John knew...and to be honest the whole thing just sort of wound down at the end.

I'm always up to writing you something else if you want though, no problem. (It just might take a while until I have my mojo back! Seriously though, I just like using the word 'mojo'. :D)

Squeel! *GLEE*
I actually *GOT* it. I picked up on the subtext, & I LOVED this. ::big goofy grin:: rodney secretly a dragon & still not talking about it even tho he *could* talk about it with John, and him trying so hard to write it off as luck anyway ["We have got to have the two most overworked guardian angels around."
"] even tho he's been found out. (and even if he doesn't *know* that John know - he know's he's on the track & it's only a matter of time...)

This was GREAT & I hope that maybe there's more of this as I work my way down your index. Even if there isn't, I need to again say, I'm totally loving your work. ^_^_^_^_^

Hee. I was worried I wasn't being clear enough, so I'm hapy you got it. :D

I think at the time I was writing this I was going for the two of them not needing to talk about it for it (Rodney being a dragon) to be understood, and that Rodney just doesn't want to flat-out tell John. And there was a little bit of it being their secret too, I think.

::nods:: I can see that.
My eariler extreme joy at getting the subtext is that I often feel that I'm just rather dense & am missing something that's supposed to be clear. (not in your stories - I'm talking fic in general) This time however, I didn't feel like I was being blugened w/ the subtext - it was still subtle, but out there in a way I was still able to catch it.

Them not needing to talk about it is totally clear & perfect - that would probably be way too close to personal stuff for John to really deal with anyway. W/ a secret like that, you'd think Rodney would get to the point that he nearly phyically *couldn't* talk about it; if he's spent his entire life hiding it, especially while working w/ the military then i can totally see it being one of those things that he would never under *any* circumstances say aloud no matter what people knew or had seen.

I usually try not to go overboard with the 'this is what's happening in this scene' and 'this is what he really means in my fics, but this time I felt like I was being even less forthcoming with hints and such, so I was a little nervous as to how that would go over.

Yes! Exactly! I didn't want Rodney to ever actually have to say 'I'm a dragon' because of those reasons, and because he'd know that he wouldn't have to tell John for him to get it.

Ooh! I was wondering all the way through if it was going to turn out to be Rodney, because it did seem like you were hinting that way, but I was never entirely sure. Until the last line, of course. Fantastic.

I just found this. There are no words for how much I love it.

For the sake of humanity, the universe, and my sanity in the last weeks of the semester please, please write more of this.

Please, or the kitten kills somebody.

Thank you! I'm not sure I can promise anything with regards to more in this universe, but maybe I can reach some sort of compromise with the kitten? ;)

(Good luck with the rest of your semester...and the whole "sane" thing is probably overrated anyway, so don't stress too much! :D)

Heh. I'm actually fairly fond of this universe, so there's a real possibility I may write more in it someday. :)
