Here I thought altering g2 would alter everything, but oh no. It just made it funnier.
Maverick does have a son. An energetic, inquisitive, and easily excited little six year old boy named Joseph, called Joey for short.
He was just blissfully unaware of this until his ex left the kid on his doorstep with a suitcase, a baseball, and a glove to keep him entertained while mommy dingdong ditched for Maverick to find his not so little bundle of joy on the front porch.
