I beat Pokemon LeafGreen last night. I was so excited. I went into the Elite 4 underleveled, but I made it. So, now that I'm in the Hall of Fame, I figured that I could hook it up to my XD game and pull down my pokes and upload my team so that you know... I could finish the battle tower there. Yeah, no. I should have realized it wasn't going to be that easy. Turns out there's a questline I need to finish in order to setup the "network" to talk to other regions. Once I get through that I'll be able to get my precious Lugia and others. Especially my Trapinch, cause I want a Flygon so badly to battle with.
Speaking of battling, my team still isn't where I want them to be. I need to transfer over a TM or two and then I need to train my Jolteon so it can learn a certain move. Then, this team will be ready until I EV train the ones I really want to fight with. Our gym is holding out I think. We managed to stomp one opponent at the member level, and we currently have I think the Fire/Dragon leader going on to our gym leader. So we'll see how that goes. As family's been here and I'm not totally ready yet, I haven't been able to partake in that yet, but hopefully soon ^^
Today, Jason's Sara comes down to visit. It'll be good to meet the person that's making our Jason so happy. I know I sound like an overprotective parent, but Sam and I are just overprotective friends because Jason's last relationship went so bad that we don't want that to happen to him again. I may have my gripes, but they are more like pet peeves. Jason's still a friend, and I try to look out for them when I can.
In other news I need to get my AMV done, ASAP. Anime Weekend is this weekend and it turns out there are only 3 videos including mine and Brick's ^^. Kwame said I'm sure to place, but I'd feel bad. Really the prize should be going to you know, those who are still in the club, not alumni. But, hey, I guess it'll be $50 to Best Buy that I didn't have ^^.
I'm totally enjoying my birthday present to myself. I ordered Masami Okui's new album Masami Life and Chihiro Yonekura's new album Kaleidoscope. I'm not sure why, but they always come out with albums at the same time, and I always have to get them together. Weird, I know, but they've been like that for so long since they did the r.o.r/s album, that it just seems right. Masami Life rocks my socks and Makkun didn't disappoint. She never does - that's why she's my favorite artist ever. Each one of her albums has a different style and they all work for her. She's just amazing, and it's one of the reasons she's survived the music industry for 10+ years. She rocks my world. Chihiro's music is totally different from the stuff she started with - which I personally like better. I'm not saying her newer stuff sucks - that's far from the truth - there's just something about the good old stuff that sticks to my heart better. I'm still trying to listen through her album, but I'm not disappointed by her work either. It's still good in her own style. I feel like she's found where's she's comfortable and is going to stay there. The great thing about getting japanese cds from
YesAsia is that if you purchase 2 cds you get to choose a capsule toy. This time I chose some random frog thing. They usually have random unpopular series and things like that - and I never get anything interesting. So, this time I figured I'd go for something generic. Turns out it's this frog cellphone charm/keychain thingy with a vending machine frog. Holy cow, it's the awesomest random toy I've ever gotten. It's got a stretchy wire you can pull and all the little charms dance down to the bottom. It's highly entertaining. I put it on my DS, because of course I hav a phone that doesn't do charms... again. So, now, not only does my DS have and FMA theme to it, but it's also got that amusing frog charm. Haha.
So, I have a lot to do today - laundry, games, AMV, shower, cut my bangs (I can put them behind my ears *shudder*), bake cookies, make dinner, meet Sara, watch Heroes. So much on my mind and no time to sit around.
