The Christmas Wrap-up

Dec 29, 2009 07:03

Things were super crappy before Christmas. My WoW account was compromised. The hackers deleted 5yrs of gaming, and they decided to use my fresh capped level 80 as a loot mule (like a drug mule) to smuggle black market items to another server by trying a paid transfer. Only reason I was able to find her and rescue my poor shaman was because I caught them hijacking the account fast enough that by the time the paid transfer tried to go through it was denied because the account was under investigation.

But they deleted my hunter. My prized pet of all characters in the game; the one I've been playing since launch. The amount of stuff I did with her cannot be replaced, and I just wish beyond anything that Blizzard will be able to restore her.

So yeah, that was a pretty crappy start a week before Christmas. The week of Christmas I went home to NJ for a little bit. Tuesday the 22nd was a fun filled day of travel plans involving getting up before the sun rose so that Sam could drop me off at the airport on his way to work. It was exhausting but I was able to find my father at the airport. Unfortunately, I also snapped the adjuster strap on my Fruits Basket bag, that I had gotten at NDK this year. I was not amused. That has turned into one of my more favorte bags thus far.

Wednesday I ran errands with my brother of the last minute Christmas shopping sort. Then Kwame came over for dinner and we talked the night away. It's always good to see him ^^. Thursday, was interrupted by work calling me for a sort of issue. I was not amused, but then the greatest thing ever happened. There was a knock at the door and my father answered it and said there's a special suprise for someone. I was like "eh? who's here". It was Sam :D. He tricked me. He said he was going camping for the holiday and I believed him, but he really was driving all the way out to my parents place to surprise me :D. Best-est boyfriend EVAR. I can't say it enough. That made everything amazing for me at that point, because we hadn't been able to spend Christmas Eve/Day together yet since we've been together. It just relaxed me so much for him to be there - especially since I didn't have to worry about the snowstorm freezing him to death if he really was camping.

Christmas Day was great. I got the two things I asked for: a PSP (so I can get the Lunar remake early 2010 >.>) and a tablet. I'm totally ready to do some artsy doodles on the computer. Christmas dinner was awesome - I got my lasagna as usual. My aunt and uncle showed up and Sam and I introduced them to District 9, of which my uncle had more questions about the movie than I expected, but I'm going to take that as he really enjoyed it.

Sam left on Saturday to go visit his parents and catch up with friends in MD. Then, I left to go home on Sunday. That was fun *rolls eyes*. I was scared that airport security would be heightened to the extreme, so I prepared my carry-on to make life easier, and then when we get there... there was no problem at all getting through. Ugh. Sunday was an extremely long day. 9hrs of travel time total and when I got home the cats had broken into some hamburger buns through the plastic, I found their cat treat can open lying on the ground and only 1/4 full... then, I found kitty vomit everywhere. I love pets. But I guess it really showed that they were concerned for the fact that we were gone. Even though Sam had someone looking after them. Truthfully, I don't think the cats are fond of that person, so perhaps that's why they did what they did.

Waffles proceeded to keep me up all night by yowling for attention. I was not amused in the slightest, but I was happy to be home.

All in all it was a good vacation, but now it's back to the swing of things, of which I'm tiring from already.

wowcraft, christmas
