Okay, I'm stealing the meme where you write something about all of your LJ friends and then you don't say who's who. Mantis, Jessica, if you happen across this gimmie your LJ links again so I can add you to my friends list. I talk to you, like, every day. You have to be able to access my bitching. It's a rule.
Ok. Here we go.
1. You’re one of the most dependable people I know, and sometimes the way you’re able to just be honest about things totally impresses and amazes me. I’ll admit that we prickle a bit since you’re a good deal more logical than I am, but it might surprise you to know that I actually started feeling jealous when other people were hanging out with you.
2. I realize that out of all of my net friends I have the smallest chance of actually getting to meet you, what with all the water, but you’re one of the few that I still talk to anymore and I’m glad for it. Hey, without you I wouldn’t have my gaming addiction quite so high. By the way. Xbox still sucks ;)
3. Admittedly, sometimes I read your journal and I feel a little guilty about last year, I’m not an easy person to live with or be around, and I kinda kick myself for having so much going on that year that I was in such a tissy. Even still, I do read your journal to check up on you and ask about you even if I’m not on campus. Like a lame guardian angel that has the massive powers to ask other people to give you hugs.
4. I won’t lie. We fight a lot and there are periods of time where I can’t stand you. However, there are also periods of time where you’re one of my closest friends and I think that waffling is pretty much how life goes. Still, when the chips were down at Hiram 9 times out of 10 I could go to you and you could come to me. The other time it was a fight between us and that wouldn’t work out very well, would it?
5. Ok, ok, I’m not the best roommate in the world but you have to admit that I’m one of the most fun. From almost getting kicked out of school on Ragnorok Online (yay, nice people! We’re girls, help us!) to starting and kind of pushing Japanese Club along like a lame dog trying to hop after people and catch up, we both have a big force when we put our minds together. I really hope I get to see you next year in Japan J
6. Of all of the people I’ve met, you’re one of the ones I miss the most. The time we spent around each other was way too short, and though you probably don’t know this, you were exactly the sort of emotional bandage I needed to help me through things. When I find myself thinking back to things I miss last year, you’re always one of the first. Keep smiling. The world’s always a bit better when you’re smiling.
7. You know those people you hang out with a little from time to time and things always click back into place like you never really were away? You were one of those people. Your advice helped me out through Hiram and I was always a little proud to be a sounding board when you had problems as well. I’m sincerely happy for you after hearing what’s happening on campus and I do hope the best for you and your sexy, sexy pants.
8. As if this won’t give it away; you’re my oldest and closest friend. I’m not sure how I feel about saying that as you’re in Boston and I haven’t seen you for the longest. We’ve come a long way since leaving for college, haven’t we? We’ve loved, hated, fought, cherished, depended, cold-shouldered and everything in between. If I could change any one thing in the world, I’d put the east close closer to here.
9. *snicker* Carrots.
10. Perhaps it’s just a sign I’m getting old but I think of you as the little brother my mother convinced me she was pregnant with for roughly 4 and a half years when I was a little kid. I trust you, and I’m glad you’re around to make me feel like I fit in as well. Now if only you didn’t like those stupid pirates…
11. We don’t talk as much as we should, ne? Things are about to change a lot, real fast, and I wish I was there to help make sure all the kinks and problems that come with life come at least a bit more gently and more reasonably than they do. Always entertaining, witty, intelligent, clever, bright-you’ve a lot going for you and everyone can see.
12. 私たち は とても とても しますね お新ちゃ。 でも おにいちゃん は いい ともだち ですよ。 LAW SCHOOL は よかった ですよ。 私 の おかあさん と おとうさん は おにいちゃん みています。 はい。 がんばって ください。
13. The first thing I actually was told about you was that every person attracted to males would inevitably get some sort of crush on you within the first few moments of meeting you. I just thought you might want to have heard that. It’s nice, having someone who has that sort of energy, creativity, compassion and kindness as a friend and I’m really happy to have met you.
14. Ah the tiny, tiny bundle of rage. I have to admit, when you’re play-angry and it’s not directed at me, you look absolutely adorable. Note the first two things well. I am sorry about Abby’s wedding in so much as I really wanted to see you again and I hope the best for school.
15. A few moments to go shopping turned into a full afternoon of the most fun I’ve had on campus to date. Wow. The first person I met outside of Friday evenings, and I couldn’t really be happier it was you. If I hadn’t been wandering through that fateful afternoon, I’d probably have quit game by now for fear of actually talking to people. You opened the door. You’re probably gonna regret that later ;)
That is all.
Oh wait.
