Saturday was fun. Chick-fli-A for breakfast, how can you go wrong with chicken mini’s? We parked at my work and walked down to the Liberty Memorial. More hills and it was farther than I anticipated. The shows were great but Natasha and I agreed that (maybe, sadly) Red Line Chemistry and Puddle of Mud (the only KC bands) sounded the best. Mellow but so much fun. Unless you take into account that the back of my shoulders are still burnt, go me with the misapplication of sun screen. And we got one of the worst/best lines in my life. 2 guys came up to us and asked for a pic ‘for the troops’ we smiled sweetly and they said we could do better than that. Thankfully N smiled and said “If you are asking us what I think, than we can’t help” So much nicer than what I would have said. I have done so many stupid things in my past but ending up on boobies.com or something is not going to be one of them. Speaking of boobs, I saw more that day than I have in any porno I have ever seen.
Ran into an old friend and it was good, ended up talking to her for a few hours on Sunday night. Nice to reconnect.
Long day and it ended with trying out Munches; skip it unless you are in KC in a hotel. Home and ice on the ankle.
Sunday was amazing. Went to the opening of the Block building at the Nelson-Atkins Museum, an amazing space and I don’t think I could describe it better than Mark did “It isn't merely seen, but experienced.” Granted I had a brace on my ankle but was a bit amazed that I did not fall over limp after all the stress I put on it Saturday. Wonderful and I so miss stalking the Nelson, :-) I have already made an appointment with the Dr. since 7 years after busting it; I don’t think it should bug me this bad.
Off to Jazz and Thank God I found someone in KC that likes oysters. I can’t remember the last time I had them.
Work, well just stress the past 2 days so I will spare you the rant. If only I could figure out a good reasob to call into work I would be gold.
