The mall was packed with last-minute shoppers, looking bedraggled and harried as they searched for the perfect gifts for their loved ones. A long line wound around the center of the food court as kids rushed to ask Santa for their gifts

She dug through her purse until she found her cell phone, buried beneath a wad of Kleenexes and a jangling pile of keys

Like I said, not entirely happy, but the idea of buying happiness being completely commonplace was too fun to resist!
