I was tagged by handhold, so here we go:

1) 10 books that you would take with you wherever you went.

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig
The Green Rider by Kristen Britain
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein
Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
On the Road by Jack Kerouac
How to Build a Fire and Other Stories by Jack London
The Portrait of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
The Nero Wolfe Primer by Rex Stout
The Latin-English Dictionary because ONE DAY it will come in handy and I shall have the last laugh!
Nightprobe! by Clive Cussler

2) 5 books that you loved as a child.

Wrinkled in Time series by Madeleine L'Engle (Many Waters was my favorite!)
The Chimney Witches by Victoria Whitehead that no one has ever heard of, ever
From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg
The Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl*
Anything by Jean Craighead George, but particularly My Side of the Mountain and Julie's Wolf Pack

3) 5 books you are a bit embarrassed to admit you like.

Clive Cussler novels
The Wednesday Witches, which is still a kid's book, and still awesome
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
I used to like the Baby-Sitters Little Sister Books and Pony Pals

4) 5 books you want to read, are reading, or have on a reading list.

Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoffman
Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman
The Sorrows of Young Werther by Goethe
Lolita by Nabakov

Yes, yes, they may be pretentious, but I'm an English major, so I'm allowed to be.

* Okay, so yes, I actually loved this book so much I stole it from a teacher. No joke. We didn't have enough money to buy books a lot of the time, so I turned into this little devious elementary school klepto. My bookshelves are riddled with guilt-manifestations like these.
