Sometimes, just sometimes mind you, Sho really hated being tied to his job. Three days ago, he had taken off from the Jimusho after Kiyomi had finally told him the whereabouts of Tompmi, but just as he was about to sprint out of the place to get a cab to send him straight to Okutama, his manager had stopped him, and said he had to join them for an emergency meeting, which turned out be something about News Zero, which he didn't really remember right now because all he had thought about for the three days of which his presence was needed was that "I have to get to Okutama, damnits."

Now he sat in a cab that zoomed directly for the city border suburb, and as the vehicle went, Sho could see how the cement buildings slowly turned in to Mother's Nature prevailing gifts, more trees and nature then man-made structures, before the car finally drew to a stop in front of a quaint structure. Getting out, Sho paid the cab, and then headed straight to the nearest shop he could find, which just so happened to be a grocery shop.

"Ano... Sumimasen. Would you happen to know the residence of Sayakomi Mimoru-san?"

"That would be me, do I know you?" To Sho's surprise, the one that answered wasn't the sweet-looking lady that manned the shop, but instead, an old, yet kind looking grandma replied him from the side, and Sho turned to find the smiling face of the woman, his mind immediately clicking that this could be Tomomi's grandmother. "Ah! Yoroshiku! Sakurai Sho des!" his instantaneous answer came without a thought, as he bowed at the waist, and the grandmother laughed, before she asked again.

"Whom are you looking for, young man? For I'm sure I don't know you."

"Ah, h-hai. I'm... looking for Sayakomi Tomomi?"

"My granddaughter? Why?"

'Damn its. I can't tell her I just night have possibly hurt her heart and now I want to get her back?' "Just for something. I need t... tell her something.

His gaze was nervous, yet if he wasn't mistaken, Shou could've sworn he saw a skeptical look past the old lady's eyes, before she finally shrugged, and turned to place her basket on the counter. "Follow me then. I'm about to return home anyway."

"A, h-hai."

---

"So, you're a friend of my grandaughter?"

"Erm. Yes, I suppose so."

The walk back to the Sayakomi house had been silent for the first 10 minutes, until the lady had suddenly popped a question at hom, throwing Sho completely off base. Before Sayakomi Mimoru could cook up another question though, the sound of feet against granite distracted her attention, and the only thing Sho heard was the sound of genuine laughter, before he suddenly saw two boys running around him.

"Obaa-chan! Kore dare?"

"Bangohan! Are you cooking curry again? Onee-chan likes curry!"

"Now, who let you two monkeys out here?"

"Onee-chan's busy, and we were wondering where you were! Whose this Onii-chan?"

Sho blinked, a little unsure at how to react with the enthusiasm of the two boys whom had appeared out of nowhere. Grandmother Sayakomi however, seemed to be at complete ease with the two boys, and merely handed each of them a smaller bag each to carry, before she introduced them. "This Oniichan is Sakurai Sho. Your Onee-chan's friend, it seems." she said, ruffling the two boys head, whom stood there looking up curiously at Sho. "These two are Tomomi's younger brothers. Natsume, and Ryo."

"Shonii-chan! You're our Onee-chan's friend? She's never mentioned you before."

"Baka, Natsu. Onee-chan doesn't have to list out her whole list of friends for you does she?"

The interaction between the two younger boys were amusing, to say the least. Throughout the rest of the journey, all Sho had to do was nod, and do a couple of humming noises to show that he was listening, as the younger of the two chattered on and on, whilst the elder one, Ryo, only gave snippets, or jumped in to admonish his younger sibling at something. It was obvious to Sho however, that Ryo easily doted very much on Natsume, the way he held on to his younger brother's hands, and he wondered if it was Tomomi's influence on the two.

"Onee-chan, okaeri!"

Before he realized it, the two had abandoned their post by Sho's either side when they arrived at a quaint looking house, and Sho stepped in, only to be greeted by a view of a well kept garden, a small bike propped upon the corner. That was all he took in, before a figure that made his heart ache, his fingers itch to touch her, stepped in to view to greet her younger brothers with a laugh and a hug. The smile that he missed so much, so prominent on her face, dropped the second she set eyes on him.

"What are you doing here?'

Frankly, that was the only thing Tomomi could even form in her head when she first saw Sho. His face, his features. It made every pore in her body tingle, a shiver up her spine telling her just how much she missed him, and at the same time reminding her just how impossible it would be for her to be with him. She can't, wouldn't share a guy she wanted with any girl, dead or alive.

"I..."

"Tomomi, isn't he your friend? He told me he was."

"Ah... Yeah, yeah he is." Tomomi replied, not wanting to let her grandmother know of the mess, she picked up her younger brother and gave him a kiss on his head, grinning when the younger one squirmed, the girl dropped the boy in the house, pushed the elder one along with him, and gave her grandmother a look that told her to leave them alone, before approaching Sho.

"So? Any explanation on your presence at my home, Sakurai-san?"

"Sho."

She blinked.

"Sho. Call me Sho."

"What do you want?"

"I... I'm sorry. I-" he paused, not even sure of what he wanted to say. His hand clasped behind his back, curling his fingers around each other, the guy bit his lips, diverting his attention the ground around him, before he finally spoke again. "To-"

A held up hand stemmed his flow of words, as Tomomi closed her eyes, wanting to wash everything away. To forget everything. If just for one day. "One day."

"Eh?"

"One day. Just one day, Sho-kun."

"Wa-wakaranai, Tomomi. What do you mean?"

"Let me show you the wonders of my home. Just for one day." she replied in a softer tone, and turned to grin at him, before she turned to her house, the girl yelled loudly to be heard, telling her grandmother she was going out with her friend, she smirked at Sho, before heading outside, motioning at him to follow her.

And Sho could do nothing but to follow her. Partly because he knew he would probably follow her to the ends of earth if she wanted him too.

--

"Where are you bringing me?"

Sho had been on a bike before. He sure had, he used to ride one to school everyday. But to be a passenger on a bike driven by a girl? This was a first, and he suddenly realized why bicycles were made to seat only one person.

"Just follow me. I'm not about to sell you for money." Tomomi replied cheekily, and Sho snickered, subconciously tightening his grip on the sides of his 'seat', as the girl increased her speed. For a female, she sure had the energy to send a guy like him on a bike, but heck, Sho wasn't about to complain.

Minutes later, she drew to a complete stop, and jumped off the bike, Sho proceeding her, before he realized they were at the foot of mountain, with Tomomi grinning as she waited for him. "Where exactly is this?"

"Okutama is famous for its greenery. My favorite happens to be here." she grinned, and motioning at Sho to follow her again, she turned and started running along the small, well worn trail.

"Oi! Chotto!"

"Haiyaku, slow poke!"

A pretty hairstyle, your messy luggage
Leave it all behind for now
The train is starting, I'm waiting for you to come
The wind feels good, the road is wide
Throw away the feeling of chasing after
The beach and the sea looks good, lets go rest!

Your steps are too fast
Too noisy, too dirty, too messy
Let me bring you for a run
Lets play hide and seek with the city!

"Ah! Ch-chot-tto!"

"Man, you're hoplessly unatheletic aren't you?"

Running up a slope was tiring, for Sho even more so. They had barely been running for 3 minutes, when Sho finally yelled mercy at Tomomi, stopping in his steps completely. His pants were heavy, sweat dripping off his features as he leaned on his knees, trying to catch his breathe, barely noticing that Tomomi had came to stand in front of him, a grin upon her features.

"Iiyo, Sho-kun. It'll take us a millenia to reach Lake Okutama this way. Ikushou!"

And to Sho's surprise, the girl compeletely disregarded his exhaustion, and took his hands, she started dragging him along the trail again. This time though, Sho didn't even realize how tired out he was. The guy was busy grinning at how her fingers had curled around his.

Cover the sky
Let them not find us
The wind from the sea brush against us
Shake your shoulders, it doesn't tire anymore
I don't want to feel stress anymore
The city has too much vehicles, money, people
But not enough love

"Look!"

The girl had boundless energy, it seems. By the time the 5 minute run was over, Sho was literally drenched in sweat, his hands dropping from her hold in a complete helpless stance when she released her grip to point at the view at the peak of the small hill they had climbed. It took a minute, but when Sho looked up at where she pointed at, he blinked, and had no choice but to agree with her.

Lake Okutama was the life force behind the small fishing village, feeding the many rivers running through the town. The reflection on the calm surface created a surreal beauty that was breathtaking, t o say the least.

"Its gorgeous here, around the end of April. The sakura's will be in full blossom."

"Lets come back here at the end of April, kay?"

Tomomi didn't reply. She didn't want anything to continue after this. She wasn't even sure now, that bringing Sho out for the day had been a good choice, but she wanted just this one memory, before she lost everything she had with him to the girl in his heart.

"Tomomi?"

"How about onsen? there's Moegi no Yu around here. Ikou?"

"H-"

Sho didn't even get a chance to finish his sentence, when Tomomi had grabbed his hand and started running off again, apparently she had strapped boundless energy to herself today.

My love, please don't stress because of money
I'll have your back even if the sky falls
Let relaxation infiltrate your life
Like playing hide and seek,
hide and not let reality find us

The onsen was a gorgeous one, a setting in complete natural surroundings, and as Sho leaned his head back, a towel across his forehead, he wondered just how amazing a small village could be. Life in the city is exciting of course, but a retreat was always necessary, and one with Tomomi seemed all the more nice.

Speaking of which, the girl had dissapeared in the female side of the onsen earlier, as was protocol. But Sho wondered just what was she doing exactly. And how was he going to approach on telling her how he felt? He had never been the most romantic of guys, but to Sho, Tomomi deserved more then just words alone.

"Ehhhhh." he groaned out loud, leaning back as he closed his eyes, only to jump in surprise when the back of his head touched the toes of someone. The guy jumped backwards, only to quickly drop in the water, eyes widening when he saw Tomomi standing there grinning.

"What are you doing here?! I thought girl's aren't allowed in the male onsen's."

"I know the owner here. She allowed me in, since there was no one else here. Enjoying yourself, I see?"

"Mou! You have no respect for decency."

"I never knew you had decency, Sakurai."

"Oi!" he retorted, and then smirked. "You're going to pay, Sayakomi."

And before Tomomi realized, Sho had lunged forward, and yanked her to fall in to the onsen, clothing and all, much to the girl's indignancy.

Your steps are too fast
Too noisy, too dirty, too messy
Let me bring you for a run
Lets play hide and seek with the city!

"Sakurai Sho!"

"Hai?"

"You..." she was at lost for words, but frankly, glaring when one was sopping like a wet chicken really didn't give much of an effect, and as a result, Sho couldn't resist from laughing when he saw her petite form soaking wet, yet giving a glare that could rival one of Jun's DoS-ness under her strands of hair.

"Stop laughing, baka!"

"Okay fine. Get out of those wet clothes, or you'll get sick."

"If I did, it would be your fault." the girl huffed, ignoring him as she climbed out, and stalked out of the onsen, much to Sho's amusement. Yet the image of her wet clothes clinging to her body, clearly showing the curves she had was stuck in Sho's mind, and the guy fought down the blush that threathene to stain his cheeks, before sinking in to the warm water of the onsen.

The wind from the sea brush against us
Shake your shoulders, it doesn't tire anymore
I don't want to feel stress anymore
The city has too much vehicles, money, people
But not enough love

"Its your fault we're going home so late now. Obaa-chan would be worried!"

"What? How is it my fault?"

"If you weren't such a useless athelete, we wouldn't have spent so long going up the mountain. And if you hadn't pulled me in to the onsen, I wouldn't have to wait till Toru-chan dried out my clothes, and then we wo-"

"alright! I get your point, enough." Sho stopped her flow of words describing the domino effect that was apparently his fault, as the two stopped in front of the house, and ran up the steps, entering the house only to find the elder lady sitting at the living room.

"Late, much? Tomomi?"

"Ah, gomen, Baa-chan. It was-"

The elder lady grinned, and shook her hand, waving their words away, before she got up, and gestured at the room opposite the one Tomomi usually slept in. "I prepared the guest room for Sakurai-san, since I'm sure the guest houses in the village would all be closed by now. Please feel at home."

And then the grandmother dissapeared in to a room, leaving Tomomi looking awkwardly at her toes, before she cleared her throat, and spoke. "Ano... Have a good night. Oyasumi." her words were curt and quick, but before she could run off, Sho caught her by the wrist, and pulled her back, his eyes searching hers as he started.

"Tomomi, I-"

"Iiya. You'll go back to Tokyo tomorrow. I know. Goodnight, Sakurai-san."

And then she wriggled her wrist out of Sho's grip and quickly slipped in to her room, leaving Sho berating himself on why had he been so stupid to hestitate for a second before telling her.
