Islands are forever.

I went to a concert last night for the first time in a while and it was lovely. I'm still wide awake from it.

We saw the buddy system. They have animated cartoons playing that match up with their music and whose bassist was sick, so they brought a TV and played a little slide show that explained that she wasn't dead just really sick, (picture of her) they thought it was her appendix (picture of appendix), so she was in the hospital (picture of ouch!) but she said "hey buddies!" (picture of her waving). The finale was two children battling an evil unicorn with kung-fu.

Then Islands played. Nick Diamonds was dressed as a zombie or maybe just a dead guy with a bloody shirt and his face painted white. They didn't talk much and they were a little too big for the stage, but they were awesome. The drummer was playing with a broken foot or something and he was smiling the whole time.

The crowd was really short. Like, I felt tall standing there. I could see everything. This was a weird sensation. Music energizes me like nothing else. I can still feel last night racing through my veins. I just know I'll be smiling for days.
