I try not to complain about my handicap.
I've been trying to learn how to crochet from a book a friend lent me, which is how I learned to knit, but it's just enraging. It doesn't tell me which way to wrap the yarn or which direction to pull a loop through the chain relative to me, and it keeps throwing in terms without explaining them that look like knitting vocabulary. I swear it's like going from Portuguese to Spanish.
Eventually I gave up and started doing it from the left, because it felt more natural, but it made figuring out the "harder" stitches...well, harder. And then I got the the very last page in the book and there's a single page which says in so many words "Left haded crochet: maybe you should make (illegalish) photocopies of this book and try doing everything backwards from me?" I'll show you my left hook...(hurr hurr.)
