Charles Phoenix!
The inimitable king of L.A. kitsch, non-historian historian Charles Phoenix is throwing a roller skating party at Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale and I want to go! I haven't been to any of his events, but I am starting to see the light. At first I thought his slide shows of stuff he found at thrift stores was a bit overrated, but it's more than found slides from the 40-70's. He is very knowledgeable and fun and I can't wait to see him in person. Details:
