copy, paste, puke

maybe thanksgiving spurs it on, but i'm already in my end of the year, what-has-this-year-been mode. the beginning of the year, nothing really happened, except i did start getting positive feedback about my writing from strangers for the first time ever. as far as my personal life goes, i struggled with some questions and came out with answers, and feel aware more now than ever of who i am and what i need and want, from love to career to space to time. at the end of the summer i learned some lessons about moderation that managed to stick -- in my mind if not always in practice -- and i feel like i met a fork and chose the uphill road instead of the slide. here's what i want from 2007:

1. organize life so that i only have to work part time and can write the other half, or consider writing programs again
2. keep up with moderation, keep health, create body strong and healthy enough for bearing children
3. be gentler and less cynical with men
4. read, read, read
5. keep trying to reconnect with childhood/adolescent sense of joy
6. find more peace in being alone
7. concentrate on the important relationships; care less about the superficial ones
