Chaerin wasn't honestly sure how'd she'd ended up with Youngbae. It definitely hadn't been overnight. Looking back, she realized it had been a relationship long in the making and definitely not a love at first sight, butterflies in your stomach type of thing. She was pretty sure neither of them were the type. then again, nothing about Youngbae was her type at all.
Her type...well it varied but aside from muscles Youngbae didn't fit. He was too nice, too sweet and way too god-damned innocent and inexperienced. Good kids weren't her cups of tea exactly.
She was pretty sure that she wasn't Youngbae's type either. She had always imagined him with some elegant princess do-gooder. Chaerin wasn't a bad person but she was no charity princess either She wasn't drop dead gorgeous and next to him she didn't seem to fit.
That was how she used to think, not that she had spent time fantasizing about the older man or anything like that. She wasn't a girl of idle daydreaming.
Somehow, though, even though they were anything but one another's ideals, she'd fallen for his smile, the way his eyes would turn into crescent shape. She'd fallen for his laugh, the way that when he truly laughed it was all out and uncontrollable and she couldn't help but start to laugh with him. She'd fallen for his gentle spirit, the way he cared for even the little things that she or anyone were concerned about, how he'd put himself in their position and make their problems his own. She fell for Youngbae, everything he was.
So no matter if they were opposites and he was anything but what she was looking for, she loved him, she had found him.
They belonged together.
