I read a lot of mysteries and it's depressing how irl, murder is done for such selfish, stupid reasons. I don't think that there should be dramatic real life murders or anything, but here, a guy kills his wife and best friend for insurance payouts so he can continue to lazily coast thru life without really working. It's so mundane and sad.
