-5/14 8:25 So Yesterday-Westerfeld (new)(library)(ebook) A bit like Bellweather crossed with Bruce Sterling, cast with teenagers
-5/15 1:00am Welcome to Temptation-Crusie (new)(library)(paper) entertaining and amusing
-5/16 11:40pm Pet Food Nation-Weiskopf (new)(library)(ebook) I still have no idea what to feed my cat. Ok, a bit of an exaggeration, but I'd previously been googling around to make sure that any herbs or vegetables I grew in the apt. were not dangerous for her and this book recommended some that were listed as toxic. Now it could be a matter of quantity. Possibly devouring a whole spinach plant is bad while a leaf or 2 mixed in a week's batch of food is ok? More research is needed. I also have to make sure that she's still ok to have regular dry food while I'm out of town without too much back and forth. It's a lot to ask a friend to prepare chicken necks and gizzards each day, for example. I'll try to get some recommendations for things I can supplement her diet with. She is a hugely picky eater though.
-5/18 1:50am Faking It-Crusie (new)(library)(paper) cute and funny
-5/19 11:40pm Touchstone-King(new)(library)(ebook)Interesting but a slow starter
-5/20 4:20pm Incorruptible Vol 2-Waid (new)(library)(paper)(comic) it's by Mark Waid, so it's decently written and mildly entertaining, but definitely one I could take or leave
-5/21 7:50am Sixkill-Parker(new)(library)(paper) not bad, but I'm tired of the thing where he's a dangerous man living a sometimes dangerous life and Susan and he have a talk (or 6) about how if he wasn't in danger sometimes he wouldn't be the man she loves. Can't they take that bit as read by now? I think they've gone over it in at least 15 books in a row now
-5/21 10:20pm Breaking Dawn-Meyer (new)(library)(ebook) ok, very questionable stuff here, mostly in the first 1/2. For example, vamps have more chromosomes than humans, despite being created from already existing humans and transmitted through 'venom'. The second half is more planning and confrontation, which was better than the very problematic first half, though not problem free.

- 5/29 11:15pm Crimes by Moonlight-ed. Harris (new)(library)(ebook)
- 5/30 8:00pm A Hard Day's Knight-Green (new)(library)(paper) his writing bugs me all to heck but I keep reading the darn things. He's written at least 29 books of which I've read about 15 and he's unlikely to improve at this point.
- 5/31 12:15am The Tomb-Wilson (new)(library)(paper)
- 5/31 3:15pm Well-Schooled in Murder-George (new)(library)(ebook)
- 5/31 6:45pm A Great Deliverance - George (reread)(library)(paper)
- 5/31 10:45pm On The Prowl- 4 novellas, 4 authors, no listed editor (new)(library)(paper) I liked the first 3 fine, the last one was mostly sex, with descriptions that are meant to sound sexy and to me sound decidedly uncomfortable.
