Okay. I decided to do a word challenge using the word "Turning". I've already had it beta-ed by the lovely Smurfsrfun2boil. "Turning" is also the title for the fic.

Turning
It was like riding a bicycle. Angel didn't want to turn Xander, but he was losing options. Willow was across the globe, in China helping Buffy there, so she couldn't be in Los Angeles until they were done. He asked Xander if he wanted to die, and Xander finally begged Angel to let Angelus be the one to turn him. Xander had told Willow once that if she wasn't around when he was dying, that he'd want to be turned.
"It won't make a difference, Xander! I'll still feel guilty for turning you. And once you're turned, you will hate me more than you did alive." Angel's soul was fully anchored thanks to Willow, so the happiness-clause was no longer in effect.
"No, I won't. I love you now, and I will still love you when I'm turned. Angelus! Come out, now!" Angel struggled feebly before vamping. In game face now, Angel looked at Xander with the most darkest expression he ever used.
"Boyo! Wha' 'ave ye gotten into now? Shot?" Xander nodded weakly, pointing vaguely at his chest. He was slowly drowning in his own blood because of his lungs being punctured by four bullets. "Well. Let's turn ye." He lifted Xander up, and quickly brought Xander's jugular up to his fangs, feeding fast, knowing that Xander was fading too fast from blood loss. As soon as he heard the beating of Xander's heart almost stop, he sliced his own wrist and fed his blood to Xander. Once he felt Xander was full, he laid Xander back down, and waited. While waiting, his game face fell, and Angel watched closely as the bullets popped out and the wounds healed. Angel hated using his accent to fool Xander into believing that Angelus had turned him. Angelus was no longer separate from him. He picked Xander back up and carried him back to the car to head for the Hyperion, knowing he'd have to gather all the blood supply for when Xander was awake. Spike was not gonna be happy that he had to turn their human lover.
